Art for me gives a special meaning to life, like for many others that I see always here and in their accounts. I\’m sure that we can distinguish the pieces made in series from those that have a \”Soul\”, as we say in Spanish. When I see Manya & Roumen\’s pieces, they talk tenderness to the heart. It\’s not difficult to feel the warmth with which each piece is made from them. Their muse is nature, why? because nature specifically animals \”shows slither, flutter, and perch on the wearer as totems of the strength, resilience, courage, perseverance, and wisdom accumulated over the millions of years that they have roamed this earth\”. Manya is so sensitive to the animal world that when she is going to create jewel research all detail related to an animal from the animal\’s bone structure to social behavior, drawing a rough sketch, and then carves the animal in a malleable and forgiving block of wax; this step influence in the outcome.
