Their Highness Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, and Kate Middleton Share this taste for Jewelry

\”Jewelry needs to fulfill the function for which it came into being. The only way that a Jewelry Designer will see its art in LIFE is with the eyes, the mind, and the heart of the Spectator. The viewer in the last stroke in any jewelry piece\”. –

If you were Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Diana or Queen Elisabeth you are having just the right jewel to match every occasion and every outfit is never a problem. She owns several fine pieces of her own, plus she can call on the palace’s unparalleled collection when an auspicious event calls for an extra level of bling.

Queen Elizabeth loaned Kate Middleton the Lover’s Knot tiara, plus a necklace and earrings, to wear to a state dinner at Buckingham Palace. The items were created by Garrard for Queen Mary in 1913 or 1914. The tiara alone is thought to be worth at least US$1 million today.

As if that wasn’t enough, the queen also loaned her Royal Family Order brooch that features a painting of her – said to be the greatest honor a member of the family could receive.

Who could forget Kate’s stunning engagement ring? The 12-carat oval Ceylon sapphire surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds and set in 18k white gold previously belonged to Princess Diana, but unlike many royal jewels, it is not custom-made.

Kate has often worn Queen Mary’s diamond chain link choker as a bracelet – including paired with a tiara to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping at a state dinner. The piece was worn by the queen mother in her 75th birthday official portraits by Norman Parkinson and was loaned to Kate by Queen Elizabeth.

It is estimated to be worth a whopping US$345,000.

Kate’s white and yellow gold diamond bracelet was a gift from the British royal family after she married William. The piece is part of a set that includes matching earrings, but the bracelet alone is valued at more than US$275,000. The precious piece of jewelry is believed to be a gift from her father-in-law, Prince Charles.

With all these gifts who will not like to be part of the Royal British Family?

And the list goes on, but let\’s keep talking about this never boring topic on another occasion.
