“The Dragonfly Woman” by Ines Arenas Jewelry Gallery (Poem by Juan Ramón Jiménez)

Poem: I Am Not I. By Juan Ramón Jiménez.

I am not I.
I am this one
walking beside me whom I do not see,
whom at times I manage to visit,
and whom at other times I forget;

who remains calm and silent while I talk,
and forgives, gently, when I hate,
who walks where I am not,
who will remain standing when I die.

Curated Assembling Related To This Perspective

This masterpiece belongs to the Spanish poet Juan Ramon Jimenez, awarded with the Nobel Prize in literature in 1956 reflects the obsession of modernist poets, that is, that their work was eternal, to remain after his death.

At the same time, the Dragonfly in many cultures symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life, and during this time The Dragonfly moves with elegance and grace.

When we pass away our relatives and actions good or bad, understood or not by the ones who knew us will be remembered.

Maybe a Dragonfly could be part of the family heirloom that we will like to leave when we will not be here anymore, because like a Dragonfly we changed, we transformed, and even afterlife, we will be in one way or another here moving with elegance and grace, in the acts and thought that we practices and we passed on.

For us, looking for meaning and purpose are ideas that can be accompanied by art like is Jewelry, in this proposal as a Dragonfly.
